People search for an Etsy fee increase when the listing fee and the 6.5% transaction fee are the bill they want to leave. This page uses the fees policy read on 8 Oct 2026. It does not add a newer Etsy rate on top of that policy.
On Etsy.com a listing fee is $0.20 USD, charged whether or not the item sells, and listings expire after four months. A sale adds 6.5% of the displayed price. US sellers also pay Etsy Payments processing of 3% plus $0.25 on the order. Some sales pick up Offsite Ads or a regulatory operating fee. Those extra rates are on Etsy’s fees policy and are not in the example calculator.
Read the policy before you compare a specific shop. Payment processing changes by country. The numbers on this page are the US digital-sale pieces from 8 Oct 2026, not a quote for every shop.
Gumroad’s pricing page, read 28 Sep 2026, is 10% plus $0.50 on a direct sale and 30% when a new customer buys through Discover. Gumroad describes itself as merchant of record. Payhip’s pricing page, read 8 Oct 2026, is 5% on the free plan, $29 a month plus 2% on Plus, and $99 a month with no Payhip transaction fee on Pro. Payhip says PayPal and Stripe fees are extra, and that it can handle EU VAT and UK VAT.
Quay’s Harbor fee is the application-fee percent this server publishes, often with no monthly charge. Studio is a monthly plan that can lower that percent. The live numbers are on the pricing page, not in this paragraph. Quay does not calculate sales tax or EU VAT, and it does not offer PayPal. The charge is a direct charge on your Stripe account. You do not get a marketplace audience from any of these tools unless the tool is a marketplace. Etsy is. Quay is not.
Etsy sends buyers who are already searching. A lower platform fee does not replace that. If the SVG, printable, or template sells because of Etsy search, keep the listing and use the calculator to see the published fee on that price. Move the checkout only for buyers you can already reach.
Quay will not import the shop. Download your files, recreate each digital product, and replace the link you share. Leave the Etsy listing up until past buyers know where the new page is.

No. Harbor is a percent of the paid order and has no listing fee. Stripe’s processing fee is extra and is not in Harbor’s percent. A small sale can make the flat parts of Etsy’s bill, or Stripe’s flat fee, matter more than the headline percent. Use the calculator and the pricing page on the same price.
