The counter, as it works today.

Harbor and Studio share this list. The plan only changes the platform fee. PayPal, EU VAT, PDF stamping, and third-party plugins are not part of Quay.

What you can sell

A product is a file, a stack of files, a membership, a key, or a price the buyer names.

  • Any file you upload

PDFs, audio, video, images, zips, and anything else the browser can send. One product can carry more than one file.

  • Bundles

Package products you already listed and sell them once. The buyer receives every file inside the bundle.

  • Subscriptions

A recurring Stripe price on the seller’s account, with a membership row you can revoke when the subscription ends.

  • Releases over time

Membership files and notes open a set number of days after purchase. Canceling the subscription closes them.

  • Software and license keys

Generate a key on each order, or load a pool and hand out one code. A public endpoint tells your app if that key is still good.

  • Pay what you want

Set a minimum. The buyer types an amount at or above that floor.

Checkout

A hosted page, a cart, or a button that lives on a site you already run.

  • Hosted product page

Each product has a public URL under the seller’s store, with a price that matches the product type.

  • Cart

Buyers can hold more than one item from the same store and pay once.

  • Link or paste-in button

Copy a plain URL or an HTML snippet and drop it into a page, a post, or a bio link.

  • Works on a phone

Store, product, cart, and download pages reflow for a narrow screen.

  • One more product after payment

The receipt can offer a second product. One click starts a new checkout for that item.

Delivery and protection

The file stays private. The buyer gets a link that can run out.

  • Delivery after payment

The paid webhook writes the order and emails a download page. Without a mail key, that letter prints in the server log.

  • Links that expire

Each grant dies after a number of hours and a number of downloads. Both are configurable per store, and a product can be stricter.

  • Resend or reset

From the order, the seller can send the page again or mint a fresh link.

  • Refunds and cancels close access

A refunded charge revokes the download grant and issued keys. A canceled subscription stops membership access.

  • Private storage

Files are not public URLs. A download goes through a signed, expiring token.

Store and product pages

A public counter for the seller, and a page that fits the kind of product.

  • Store URL

A slug you choose, a name, and a short pitch. Published products list themselves there.

  • Page per product

The page shows the type, the files or included titles, and either a fixed price, a minimum, or a recurring interval.

  • Slugs you pick

Store and product paths are readable links, not only random ids.

  • No product cap

The app does not stop a store at a fixed number of products.

Offers and partners

Codes, a second product, and people who send you buyers.

  • Discount codes

Percent or a fixed amount, an expiry, a use limit, and an optional single product.

  • Affiliates

Turn on a commission rate. Partners get a link, a 30-day cookie, and a ledger you can mark paid.

Getting paid

The seller is paid on their own Stripe account. Quay can keep an application fee.

  • Stripe Connect

Express onboarding, direct charges, and an optional application fee. Harbor and Studio only change that fee.

  • Cards and wallets Checkout already shows

Checkout uses the methods Stripe enables on that connected account, including wallets when the account qualifies.

The account

Who can see the store, and where a buyer finds what they already paid for.

  • Seller sign-in

Email and password. A store is created in onboarding and only that seller sees its orders.

  • Buyer library

A magic link to the email on the order lists everything that address has bought.

  • Desk for the seller

Revenue, a 14-day chart, orders with search, and a customer list you can export as CSV.

Where the button can live

A product URL and an HTML button work on any page that can hold a link.

  • Any page that can hold a link

The product URL works from a site, a newsletter, or a bio page.

  • HTML you paste

The product screen gives a snippet for a button on a site you control.

For builders

A public license check, and the Stripe webhooks that create the order and close it on a refund.

  • License check

POST /api/v1/licenses/validate returns valid, unknown, revoked, unused, or product mismatch.

  • Payment events

Stripe webhooks create the order, sync subscriptions, and revoke access. Replays do not double-issue a key.
