Can the buyer open the SVG on the product page before paying?
No. The public page shows your description and price. The file is delivered after payment.
Sell SVG files
An SVG shop on Quay is a file product. Upload the vectors, publish the page, and the buyer receives them only after payment.
Upload one SVG or a zip of a whole set. Add a short license note in the description: personal use, or the commercial terms you actually offer. Quay does not render a live preview of the SVG in the browser, and it does not watermark the file.
Stay under 20 MB per file. If the set is larger, split it into two products and sell them as a bundle.
A download link can be forwarded until it expires or the download count runs out. If you want a code your own tool can check, use a license product. One key leaves with each order. POST /api/v1/licenses/validate reports whether that key is still good. Quay does not phone home from a design app by itself.
A fixed price or a pay-what-you-want minimum both work. Paid amounts under $0.50 are rejected. The charge lands on your Stripe Connect account. Harbor’s application fee is a percent of that charge. Compare that percent with Etsy’s listing and transaction fees in the calculator before you pick a price.

No. The controls are the expiry, the download count, and a refund that revokes the link. A license key can be revoked too. The file itself is not locked.
