Quay

Sell digital products online

Sell a digital product without renting a monthly storefront first.

Upload the file, set a price, and hand buyers a checkout link. They pay on your Stripe account. Quay emails a download page that can expire.

What you can list

A product is one or more files, a bundle of products you already listed, a membership with a recurring Stripe price, a license key, or a pay-what-you-want price with a minimum.

Membership files can open a set number of days after purchase. Canceling the subscription closes that access.

Put it where people already are

Each published product has a public page on your store. The product screen also gives you a plain URL and an HTML button you can paste into a site, a newsletter, or a bio link.

Buyers can hold more than one item from the same store and pay once. A membership checks out on its own.

What happens after they pay

The paid webhook creates the order, counts a discount if one was used, records an affiliate commission when a referral cookie is present, and emails the download page. Without a mail key, that letter is printed in the server log so you can still see it in development.

Files stay in private storage. A buyer does not get a public URL. Each file in an upload has to be 20 MB or smaller.

Questions

Can I sell more than one kind of digital product?

Yes. The same store can list downloads, bundles, memberships, license keys, and pay-what-you-want products. There is no product cap in the app.

Where does the money go?

Onto the Stripe Connect account you onboard. Quay’s fee, when there is one, is an application fee on that charge.
