Can I sell a one-time download and a membership in one cart?
No. A membership checks out on its own. One-time products from the same store can share a cart.
Sell memberships online
A membership is a recurring price, a member, and files that can open on a delay. The subscription lives on your connected Stripe account. Quay records the status from Stripe webhooks.
Create a membership, set a monthly or yearly price, and add the files or notes. A drip item stays closed until the number of days you set has passed since purchase. When the subscription is canceled or the order is refunded, that access is revoked.
Memberships check out alone. They are not mixed into a cart with one-time downloads. The buyer still gets an email with the delivery page.
The recurring charge is a direct charge on your Stripe Connect account, with an application fee percent when your plan has one. You are the merchant of record. Stripe bills processing on that account.
Studio, if you want it, is a different subscription: it bills you on Quay’s platform Stripe account and is not the membership your buyer bought. Canceling Studio returns your seller account to Harbor. Canceling a buyer’s membership does not cancel Studio.
There is no community forum, no live event, and no video stream. Files follow the upload cap. Quay does not calculate sales tax or EU VAT on the subscription. If the membership is mostly a Discord role or a gated video site, you would be wiring that yourself. The part Quay owns is the charge, the drip, the email, and the revocation.

Stripe sends the subscription update. Quay revokes the download grant and closes drip access. A refund from the order does the same and cancels the subscription when the charge was a membership.
