Sell sheet music

Sell your arrangements as PDFs the buyer downloads after paying.

A sheet music product is the PDF you export from your notation software, plus optional parts or a practice recording. Quay delivers the files; it does not handle performance or mechanical licensing.

What to upload

Export the score and any individual parts as PDFs. You can add an MP3 practice track to the same product. One product can hold more than one file.

Each file has to be 20 MB or smaller. Use the first page or a short preview image as the public cover.

Copyright comes first

Sell your own compositions, public-domain works, or arrangements you have the rights to sell. An arrangement of a copyrighted song usually needs permission from the publisher. Quay does not check or grant those rights.

Delivery after payment

The buyer pays on your Stripe account. Quay emails a download page that expires after the hours and download count you set. From the order you can resend the page or reset a spent link, and a refund revokes it.

Share the product link from your website, a newsletter, or your teaching studio's page.

Questions

Can I sell an arrangement of a popular song?

Only if you have the rights. Most copyrighted songs need a license from the publisher before you sell an arrangement.

Can one purchase include the score and the parts?

Yes. Upload each PDF to the same product, or zip them together.

Where do I get paid?

On your own Stripe account. Harbor adds the application fee shown on the pricing page to each paid order.

What Harbor costs: no monthly fee. Quay keeps 5% of each paid order ($1.00 on a $20.00 sale), plus Stripe's own processing fee on your account.
