Quay

Sell sample packs

Sell sample packs and beats from a checkout page you control.

A sample pack is a zip of WAV or MP3 files plus a license note. The buyer downloads it after they pay. Quay delivers the files; it does not host streaming previews or register your beats.

What to upload

Zip the samples or stems with a short PDF that says the BPM, key, and what the buyer may do with them.

Each file has to be 20 MB or smaller, which is tight for WAV stems. Split a pack into several zips, or offer MP3 in one product and WAV in another.

Licenses and tiers

Many producers sell a basic license and a broader license at different prices. On Quay that means two products with different files or license PDFs. Write the terms plainly; Quay does not enforce them.

License keys are available if you want each buyer to get a unique code.

Delivery after payment

The buyer pays on your Stripe account. Quay emails a download page that expires after the hours and download count you set. From the order you can resend the page or reset a spent link, and a refund revokes it.

Questions

Can buyers preview the beat before buying?

Quay does not host audio previews. Link a preview from YouTube, SoundCloud, or your own site in the description.

My WAV pack is bigger than the limit. What can I do?

Each file can be up to 20 MB. Split the pack into several zips in one product, or sell MP3 and WAV versions separately.

Where do I get paid?

On your own Stripe account. Harbor adds the application fee shown on the pricing page to each paid order.

What Harbor costs: no monthly fee. Quay keeps 5% of each paid order ($1.00 on a $20.00 sale), plus Stripe's own processing fee on your account.
